You can assign different settings to different sections of your model. If your printer is sound and reliable, S3D gives you few advantages. It really only makes a difference for me because my printer is so shit. I have just about the shittiest, most unreliable printer ever, so having a good, tweaked workflow makes working with my printer just that much more tolerable. Print quality is about the same, but I love the fast computer tethered workflow. Yes, you may get lucky and have no issues, but that's not the case for us, and many others as you will find. In any case, the purpose of this post was mainly to warn potential buyers to think twice before buying this software.

Just wanted to say I have tried everything you guys suggested to get it running, including turning off wifi and restarting, and firewall options, but it seems in our case specifically, the software will not start with or without an Internet connection. Well for us, we have paying customers. i'm assuming it's because they are constantly swamped with people that have the same problem. Here's where part two of the issue arises - If you ask for support, they take forever to get back to you, if at all. Now simplify does allow you to reset the registered devices once online, but after that, you have to contact support. Since there is a limit to how many installs you are allowed, naturally you get locked out. For many people including me, a bug causes the program to think your computer is different when the computer is restarted. Now this would be fine if it worked properly (albeit still stingy for a cheap, niche program in my opinion).
